The new Coachmen RV of today has proven it's name once again, and now that it is part of the Forest River family, you can relax knowing it has the backing of Berkshire Hathaway.

If you are thinking about buying a Class A motor home  you should know some of the facts.

Coachmen Mirada and Pursuit motor homes are painted with  6-coats of Sikkens paint and 2-coats of clear, when ordered with that option. Sikkens paint is a premium (True NO WAX) paint used by companies like Mercedes-Benz. The competition however uses much cheaper paint, and it all looks good when new but beware.

Another important thing to learn about the competition is that some build their motorhomes with 1 1/2" walls and not 2" thick like Coachmen motorhome does to give you a very solid well-insulated wall. Would you rather have your cabinets screwed into a 1 1/2" or 2" wall? You tell me?

Coachmen Pursuit motorhomes 29SS and 31BH are a truly a No-Trip-Interrupt coach, with its 50-AMP service, 5500 Onan Gen and 2 AC units you can have both AC units on,  and the TVs and popcorn-popper at the same time. You can not do that with any other short Class A motorhome.  And let's not forget the 18000-LBS Chassis and not 16000-LBS like the Thor ACE.

The entry step of The Coachmen is TrueLite step welded to the chassis and not the floor like all the others. No bending or flexing.

If you have ever seen fiberglass delaminating then you won't wish it on anyone. It is like cancer with no cure. Delaminating happens when moisture comes in contact with the wood attached to the outside fiberglass wall.

Coachmen motorhomes use AZDEL in their walls, not "Luan" wood so if you ever have a leak from the roof or the window you are protected. AZDEL is waterproof, lighter, and mold and mildew proof, formaldehyde free and vacuum bonded to ensure no leaks.

You would also save lots of weight when you build with Azdel so your engine will have less weight to pull around.

Dead weight is dead weight. Notice the difference in the dry weight of 2 different motorhomes with the same floor plan . A Coachmen Mirada 35LS and a Georgetown 369XL (look it up). You will notice that the Georgetown is 3427-LBS heavier than the Mirada 35LS.  The same engine in both but the Georgetown engine is pulling 3427-LBS more. The Coachmen motorhome was built smart with lightweight Azdel walls.
